This course is a brief and basic overview of the legislation, policy and practice that relates to RIDDOR, COSHH and Fire Awareness. It is not a substitute for accredited COSHH , NEBOSH or fire awareness courses. However, residential or domiciliary care workers who are undertaking the Skills for Care Common Induction Standards or NVQ mandatory units in Health and Safety will benefit from this course, and in line with CSCI recommendations for mandatory training should repeat it on a yearly basis.
