Working with our business partners, Benchmark Training Ltd, this package of training focuses on the following:
Learning and developing leadership skills through a structured series of theory and practical lessons, learning how to think not what to think
An understanding of the principles of strong leadership and good management.
The provision of the practical skills required to lead and manage routinely in a high tempo environment.
A clear understanding of how to foster good working practices and engender sustained team spirit.

The training, which can be provided as one package or be split over a number of stand alone days, is normally broken down as follows:
- One day of Training Needs Analysis as a part of part of the programme development, using the NHS's Knowledge Skills Framework as a model.
- 3 days of theory based training, conducted either on-site or within the PCT's area.
- 2 days residential theory and practical training at the Benchmark Leadership Centre, based at the Fire Service College at Moreton-inMarsh, Gloucestershire.
Drawing on extensive military and civil leadership experience, the course teaches and practises leadership skills typically associated with the challenges of various operational, often stressful, environments.
