This course is aimed at anyone who works in a Health clubs, Schools or Hotels where there is a pool present but no requirement for a lifeguard. Prospective swimming teachers would also benefit from this training course. You do not need any previous lifesaving experience to train for this award but you must confidently be able to swim 20 metres on your front and back and be able to learn a variety of skills.

Entry Requirements: - Candidates must:
 
• Be 16 years of age, or older, at the time of the examination.
• 100% Attendance on a course of instruction for a minimum of 12
hours; which is completed over 2 / 3 or 4 days to suit the
company (this includes the Aquatic Rescue Foundation Unit).

Candidates must be prepared to read and fill out log books before the start of the course

Training can take place at your own venue, no matter what the size or depth of the pool.

The cost of the course starts at £80 per person and is fully inclusive of materials, equipment, course literature, training, examinations and certification. The qualification is valid for 2 years.
