Further Details
It is an ideal development programme for anyone with considerable responsibility, and can include those who do not always hold ‘formal’ authority - including consultants, project managers, line managers, functional specialists, client managers, officers and community/voluntary sector representatives. The first module is for 3 days and is followed by a one–day follow-up after 4 weeks.
The first (3 day) module gives participants the opportunity to understand their current preferences for influencing others and enables them to explore a range of styles and behaviours used by effective influencers. They will discover which styles work for them (and which don’t) and how different situations require a certain approach.
Learning Objectives
• To develop an understanding of the nature of influence.
• To learn a model of effective influencing behaviours.
• To develop the ability to analyse own and others’ influencing styles and to provide skills in adopting styles appropriate to different situations.
• In summary, the programme will develop the participants’ competence to create positive relationships and influence with the desired impact
