It can be difficult for those working alongside health professionals to speak their language. Healthcare assistants, social care workers and those selling assistive technology can all benefit from this course, which seeks to enable these workers to make clear, logical and reasoned assessments concerning the needs of their clients and customers. During the day, we will examine medical terminology, look at how we function in our everyday lives, discuss the motor, sensory and cognitive systems and review communication methods and skills. We will focus on how assistive aids can help people achieve their goals and increase independence.
