There are numerous reasons that elderly people fall and this course will examine many of these including both medical and environmental. We will look at areas of prevention whilst considering the complex topic of restraint. There will be practical sessions examining risk assessment protocols, documentation and problem solving scenarios.

Our practical sessions will also consider bed management systems and methods of getting up from the floor, both with and without the aid of equipment.
