Moving and Handling People: Trainers and Assessors
This extended course is designed for workers with responsibility for moving and handling risk assessments of clients or patients, and also responsibility for training others in safer handling skills. The course ethos is to give delegates the confidence and knowledge to form their own conclusions when carrying out risk assessments, planning training courses and recommending equipment.

Sources of Research and Evidence
Using Task Analysis
Manual Handling Risk Assessment
Back Care and Ergonomics
Training Skills
Competency Based Practical Sessions, including sit to stand, slide boards, bed moves and hoisting
This course is a nationally recognised qualification, accredited by the Open College Network. Delegates are assessed in a variety of ways during the 5 days to ensure that they have met the learning outcomes of the three modules. Successful delegates receive a certificate of achievement from OCN.
