The course will enable therapists, in particular, newly qualified therapists to further their skills and become more confident in their routines. Participants will learn new techniques to work with common conditions presented by clients such as adhesions and muscle tightness as well as painful trigger points. In the first instance candidates will learn to observe their clients posture and acquire some palpating skills enable them to identify changes in texture, tension or tissue damage.
Outcomes:
• Participants have a good understanding how to observe posture
• Participants have a good understanding of palpation
• Participants will be able to apply tools like arm, fist, palm appropriately
• Participants adopt good posture at all times
• Participants are able to perform a deep tissue massage routine.
The course is accredited by the CThA, EMBODY, the Guild of Holistic Therapists and the Complementary Medical Association, The CMA. CAD Points are further awarded by FHT.
