Further Details

Aim To enable participants to appropriately and effectively evaluate their engagement processes, and to communicate and use the evaluation findings to add value to and learn from their engagement processes. Learning Objectives By the end of this course you will be able to: • use the principles and key stages of the Evaluation Guidance Tool to plan an effective and credible evaluation of your project, • understand how to apply our guidance tool to a range of real cases, and • communicate the evaluation results to demonstrate impact and ensure development and learning from findings. About the Evaluation Guidance Tool After the course, participants will have access to The Environment Council’s Evaluation Guidance Tool via our website, and our continued support in its navigation. The Evaluation Guidance Tool has been specifically designed to enable those implementing communication strategies or engagement programmes to: • assess the impact of their work, • demonstrate accountability and effectiveness, • enable ongoing review of projects. The course does not give comprehensive step-by-step training on the Tool, rather it aims to give participants a thorough understanding of best practice in evaluating engagement, and a chance to work through the key stages of the Tool on real-life case studies.
