This is a one day intensive course. Phase One Habitat Survey is the technique by which ecologists and nature conservationists can quickly interpret the likely wildlife value of a site. Using a basic knowledge of plant communities it allows professionals from many disciplines to identify important areas of land and to focus conservation efforts. Your course instructor is a field ecologist with over 20 years experience of Phase One Habitat Survey throughout England and Wales. The course will include a morning in the classroom learning the background and methodology of Phase One and other habitat survey techniques followed by an afternoon in the field putting theory into practice.
