This course is designed for construction organisations that deal with demolition or renovation of older buildings or premises where asbestos may be present. Asbestos poses a great danger to the long-term health of people working within the construction industry, especially those working on refurbishment and demolition projects.
This course is designed to make construction workers aware of the long term risks associated with asbestos, and raise awareness of the symptoms of asbestos related diseases. During the course delegates will receive instruction in how to identify asbestos, what the asbestos looks like, and where it is most likely to be found.
After dealing with identification, delegates will receive instruction in the best practices of dealing with asbestos and what they should do when they find any asbestos while carrying out their duties.
The majority of work with asbestos now requires a licence which is only available through very strict training courses, this course does not give a person the right to work directly with asbestos, as is it designed as an awareness course only
