Traditionally, the massage begins with the pleasurable soaking of the feet in a foot bath containing a liquid medicine chosen specifically for the client. The heated medicine warms the feet. After the client’s feet have been rested and refreshed, the masseur or masseuse spreads a thick layer of lotion on the feet and calves and then rubs and kneads every point of the soles.
