CRS Inc deliver the award through Edexcel and licensing for Vehicle Immobilisers came into effect across England and Wales at the same time, and applies to both in-house and contract staff. After 3rd May 2005 it was illegal to work as a vehicle immobiliser without an SIA licence In setting standards for training the SIA have taken into account the changing roles of those already employed in the industry and the requirements for new skills and knowledge. The course involves two multiple choice examinations
