Access to Higher Education Sports Science

What topics are covered by the course?

You will study 21 graded credits in Sports Science, 15 graded credits in Human Physiology, 3 graded credits in Healthy Lifestyles and 6 graded credits in Sports Coaching and Fitness. You will also study 15 ungraded credits which can include Maths and English at Level 2.

What will I be able to do on completion?

Our Access to HE Diplomas give you the opportunity to apply for a degree in a Sport Science and other related degrees. This can lead to a career working as a sports science consultant, coach, trainer, researcher, PE teacher, sports psychologist or nutritionist.

An Access to HE Diploma in Sports Science is also an excellent way to maximise your job prospects, such as: Coach, Personal trainer, Sport and health promotion

How will I be assessed?

Assessment through tutor-assessed coursework throughout the Diploma, including two exams that take place over Skype.

There are no set entry requirements for this Access to HE Diploma.

You need to have a UK residential address to study this qualification (you can be posted overseas). If you are currently resident outside the UK you need to be able to provide proof of UK residency before the end of the course. In this case, please advise us of this when you apply for the course.
