WORLDSPAN COMPUTER RESERVATION TRAINING (GDS)

Global distribution systems (GDS) are used within the travel industry worldwide to check flight availability and confirm seats, to issue tickets and print out itineraries. They are also used for car rental, hotel bookings, trains, the list goes on!

WHO WILL BENEFIT?

All those wanting to work for an airline, tour operator, travel agent, consolidator, or business travel company.

In particular:

-Those who have no GDS experience
-Those who have used GDS but need to be cross-trained onto another system
-Those who have used a GDS but are in need of a refresher course
-Those who have used GDS before and are seeking certification or IATA accreditation.

This is a computer based learning program designed to take you through the course at your own pace. It can be studied at our Training Centre in London or ONLINE at home. The whole course is completed on the computer, even the exam. Through out the course you will need to take notes as the exam is ‘Open Book’ which allows you to use your notes through out the exam.

There are 4 sections to the WORLDSPAN course. They can be studied as a stand-alone or a complete course. Each section consists of lessons, exercises, quizzes to test your knowledge and a final exam.

The sections are:

-Section 1 - Airline Reservations
-Section 2 - Fares and Ticketing
-Section 3 - Hotel Reservations
-Section 4 - Car Hire Reservations
