Complete Media Makeup and Hair Course

What topics are covered by the course?

The Centre Stage Makeup Studio "Complete Media Makeup and Hair Course" is specifically designed by professional Makeup Artist, Judy Neame for people wanting to train as a media makeup artist.

With over 30 years experience as a professional MUA (16 of those as Makeup Designer Chief at the BBC) and teaching at her makeup studio since 1992, Judy will teach you everything you need to get started as a pro MUA.

The "Complete" course last 10 months, studying 3 days per week at the Studio in Blackboys, near Uckfield, East Sussex.

Module 1: Makeup - making the best of the face using correction (face-graph, all vintages and present-day, bridal, big screen media, photographic, TV and stage)

Module 2: Character work and special effects (progression of time, continuity, script changes and breaking down, life casting, prosthetics, etc)

Module 3: Further development of Modules 1 and 2 and hair creativity (modern and vintage styling, long hair up, wig blocking cleaning & fitting, hair-cutting and barbering, etc)

As part of the course, you will:
* Use a wide and varied range of makeup and products (products used in classes are provided as part of your course)

* Build your professional portfolio
* Gain hands-on experience and plenty of practice

By the end of the course, you will be as "work ready" as possible. Judy will support you throughout the course and afterwards to become an established MUA.

This course is for you if:
* You are a beginner. No experience nor formal qualifications are required.

* Work as junior MUAs in film, TV, fashion, photography and theatre
* Started their own business as freelance bridal makeup and hair artists
