SIA Door Supervision Security Course

What topics are covered by the course?

SIA Door Supervision Course consists of four modules:
1. Working within the Private Security Industry
2. Working as a Door Supervisor
3. Conflict Management for the Private Security Industry
4. Physical Intervention for the Private Security Industry

In Unit 1 learners will understand the purpose and main features of private security industry.

In Unit 2 learners will understand the elements of civil and criminal law relevant to door supervisors.

In Unit 3 learners will understand how to recognise, assess and reduce risk in conflict situations.

In Unit 4 learners will understand how to use non-pain related physical skills to protect yourself and others from assault.

The course takes a total of 4 days to complete.

Who should attend?

In order to apply for the Door Supervision course, candidates must be over 18 years of age, due to the requirements of an SIA licence.

What will I be able to do on completion?

On completing the course students would be able to apply for SIA License. Training For Employment will help you to ensure your badge application runs as smooth as possible. We also help to reduce the chance of errors which may result in a delayed approval to apply for the SIA badge.

Students will also receive a certificate claiming their qualification in SIA Door Supervision after completing the course.

How will I be assessed?

To pass the Door Supervisor course you will have to sit three multiple choice exams. All exams will consist of 25 questions and are each 40 minutes long. You will also be required to complete a practical physical intervention skills assessment for which we provide training for. There will also be a written test you will need to complete and pass. Students need to pass each exam with a minimum score of 70%.

In majority of cases, students failing is rare due to our immersive training. However, if you do fail, you’ve nothing to stress over.

We have a policy of NO PASS – NO EXAM FEE so if you do not pass there is no charge for re-takes. Our pass rate is over 95%.

Once you obtain your SIA badge then Training for Employment will help you to find a job. We have strong contacts and relationships with some of the best door supervisor employers including night clubs, events and more.
