Behavioural standards, legislation relevant to the role, search procedures, powers of arrest, recording incidents and crime preservation, reducing risk, conflict management and communicating effectively and physical interventions.

Who should attend?

Under the Private Security Industry Authority Act 2001, all individuals wishing to work in the private security industry must undertake a recognised qualification before applying for SIA licence.

What will I be able to do on completion?

This accredited qualification provides the necessary skills and knowledge to apply for an SIA Door Supervisor licence. It is ideal for anyone wishing to work as a Door Supervisor, Security Officer and/or Security Stuart within the Private Security Industry.

How will I be assessed?

Four compulsory units are assessed through three multiple-choice examinations, one written (true or false) examination and a practical test.
During practical examination learners must demonstrate application of the correct techniques in all the areas indicated within the learning outcomes.
