The PTLLS is a course designed for anyone wishing to teach/train/instruct adult learners. It is an essential course for anyone that:
•Would like or require an introduction to teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector or
•Are seeking career progression within their area of work or
•Teach on a one-to-one and/or group basis.
We recognise that it can often be difficult for candidates to be released from their places of work. Learners also incur the financial burdens of travel, hotel and other subsidiary requirements.
Akuro offers the PTLLS Award as a distance learning course via our unique online package. The online package has been designed to systematically guide the learner through the full Award, using fully narrated interactive sessions and the qualification can be completed at either Level 3 or 4.
To complete this qualification the learner will be required to complete both theory and practical assessments. One of the practical assessments requires the learner to deliver a 30 minute Micro Teaching Session, which can be delivered at our Training Centre in Driffield or we can undertake the teaching observation at their own premises, however travel expenses will be incurred @ 0.40p per mile.

• Unit 002 - Understanding Inclusive Learning and Teaching in Lifelong Learning
• Unit 003 - Using Inclusive Learning and Teaching Approaches in Lifelong Learning
•Unit 007 - Principles of Assessment in Lifelong Learning
Who the Qualification is Suitable For?: - This qualification is suitable for those who work or wish to attain teaching qualifications within the Lifelong Learning Sector, further adult and community education, work based learning and the voluntary sector.
Course Duration: - This is a roll on roll off course, so therefore learners can start the course anytime. The time frame for completion is solely dependent on learner commitment. Learners will be allocated a personal tutor who will provide guidance and support throughout the learning journey.
