Our 14 learning modules will guide you through everything you need to know and understand to start taking fantastic photographs. All modules are designed to be viewed online on a wide range of devices or can be downloaded as PDF files. The course includes a number of multiple choice knowledge checks, instructional videos, access to DSLR camera simulators and practical assignments that you will need to submit for constructive feedback as you progress through the curriculum.

At the end of the course you will need to submit 10 images as a portfolio of your work. These images will need to demonstrate an understanding of the camera settings and composition of an image. An ‘Imber Court Photography Training Diploma Certificate’ will be issued to you on successful completion of the course.

Once you register you will be assigned a personal tutor who will be available throughout the course for full telephone and email support. We will also be arranging individual tutorials by appointment at Painshill Park, Surrey and at our Chichester Harbour classroom in West Sussex where you are also free to pop in at any time for advice and guidance during the course.

What will I be able to do on completion?

This online course will provide those who are new to photography with all the skills and confidence required to start capturing excellent images by understanding how to set the appropriate camera controls and how each control affects our images. Participants will understand the rules of composition and some basic ways to edit images.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment is by multi choice knowledge checks at various stages throughout the course and assessment of images submitted at the conclusion of some modules. One to one tutorials will be held when required and submission of a portfolio of images at the conclusion of the course.
