Next Generation Learning Spaces Asia Summit 2015

What topics are covered by the course?

As you know, Asia is moving away from rote learning toward a more collaborative, student centered approach to education, with traditional concepts of pedagogy and learning spaces shifting in order to improve engagement and student outcomes.

This evolution presents a variety of new challenges:

How can successful models of learning be adapted to work in more collaborative spaces?

What is the best way to inspire cultural change across faculty and support them in implementing pedagogical shifts?

How can existing classrooms and campuses be repurposed into active learning spaces, and what role does the purposeful application of technology play in such development?

With this in mind and following the success of our annual learning space design events in the US and Australia, IQPC is delighted to put together Asia’s first event focused on Next Generation Learning Spaces to be held from 14-17 September, 2015 in Singapore.

Key topics of exploration:

Redefining the physical campus and classrooms into sticky spaces that attract and engage learners

Encouraging student voice in learning environments for increased collaboration

Scaffolding faculty needs and success in evolving educational spaces

Using technology to support – not overshadow – pedagogy and learner outcomes

Best practices in measuring the impact of space on student achievement and engagement
