Wellness for Life is a recognized and authorized course provider of the Complementary Medical Association (CMA). As a Wellness for Life student, enrolment on the Diploma will enable you to join the CMA as a student member. Upon successful completion of the course, you can upgrade your membership and obtain insurance with the CMA to practice.

The Diploma is delivered via blended learning, which is a mixture of supported distance learning and face-to-face skills development (in Brighton, Sussex).
You can start the course at any time of the year. You can have the face-to-face skills development at times to suit you. You will be working under supervision, with a range of volunteer clients in a real therapeutic environment.

This part is taken through supported distance learning and covers: What counselling is and isn’t - Counselling approaches - The role of counselling skills - The role of confidentiality - The Johari Window - Verbal and non-verbal language - Listening skills - Using effective questioning - Paraphrasing and reflecting feelings - Offering challenge and feedback - Valuing diversity - Increasing client’s self esteem - Managing change - Goal setting - Ending the counselling skills process
Consultation and Counselling Skills:
This part is taken through supervised skills development in Brighton, Sussex.
