PRINCE2™ Foundation & Practitioner Exam
* The course requires the delegate to pass a one hour Foundation examination and three hour Practitioner examination

* Five days - Foundation exam on third day, Practitioner exam on fifth day

PRINCE2™ Process Model
Overview of the 8 PRINCE2™ processes and how they are used throughout the lifecycle of the project:
* Starting Up a Project - define the project; create business case; identify customer's quality expectations
* Initiating a Project - identify the products that will be produced; plan the project; set up controls and files
* Directing a Project - authorise the project and stage plans; decide how to deal with issues
* Controlling a Stage - activities performed by the project manager on a day to day basis to manage a stage
* Managing Product Delivery - products are developed and quality is reviewed
* Managing Stage Boundaries - create all stage and exception plans
* Closing a Project - formal customer sign off; capture outstanding issues for future reference
* Planning - developing plans using the product based planning technique
PRINCE2™ Components
Each of the 8 PRINCE2™ components of a project and how they are used by the PRINCE2™ processes:
* Business Case - develop a Business Case as the driver of the project
* Organisation - establish an effective project organisation structure representing the major project interests
* Plans - identify products to be developed from the project and the required activities and resources
* Controls - decision making, communication and control mechanisms that will be used during the project
* Management of Risk - identify risks and put in place measures to minimise negative consequences
* Quality in a Project Environment - define and plan how quality will be managed through the project
* Configuration Management - manage the project assets
* Change Control - capture and manage all requested changes
Examination Preparation
* Guidance on how to approach the exams
* Review past exam papers and questions
* Mock exams under the guidance of the trainer
* Group and individual exercises to practise sample exam paper questions
Course Preparation
* Delegates shall be expected to perform approximately 8 hours of preparation before attending the course
* Delegates shall be expected to perform approximately 2 hours of homework each evening during the course
