Pelmet Making

What topics are covered by the course?

This half-day workshop is a great extension to our Roman Blind and Curtain workshops but can be booked separately. On this course you will learn how to design and make a flat pelmet. The course includes calculating fabric learning design ideas for box pelmets, making fabric covered piping, creating paper templates for pelmets, constructing and covering a flat plywood pelmet.

This course is suitable for adult beginners and those who have a little experience.

On this course you will learn how to design and make a flat pelmet.

Tutor: This course is taught by fabulous Ginny Peace. She is not only an enthusiastic and experienced soft furnishing designer but also a great tutor who can share her valuable knowledge with others. The success is guaranteed!

Time: Each day commences at 9.30am and finishes around 1:30pm

Class Size: Each training class size is limited to 6 to ensure that all attendees receive personal attention.

What to bring: sewing machine, a sewing kit to include needles, thread, pins, dressmaking scissors, tape measure (5m steel extendable), notebook and pen.

What does the course include: All other materials will be provided. You will also receive a paper briefing from the day following all the steps discussed on the day. We also offer coffee or tea on arrival and delicious lunch if weather allows in our beautifully landscaped gardens.
