SIA Door Supervision

What topics are covered by the course?

Unit 1- working for the private security industry. This unit covers; private security industry & awareness of the law, health & safety for the private security operative, fire safety awareness, emergency procedures, the private security industry and communication skills & customer care.

Unit 2- working as a SIA licence door supervisor, this unit covers; behavioural standards, civil and criminal law, searching, arrest, drugs awareness, recording incidents and crime preservation, licensing law and emergency procedures.

Unit 3- SIA licence conflict management. This unit covers; avoiding conflict and reducing personal risk, defusing conflict, resolving and learning from conflict, emergency procedures and application of communication skills and conflict management for door supervisors.

Unit 4- Physical intervention skills for the private security industry. This unit covers; introduction to physical skills, disengagement techniques and escorting techniques.

Who should attend?

The courses are for anyone who would like a qualification in the security industry.

What will I be able to do on completion?

The student will have a qualification in Door Supervision and will be able to obtain an SIA badge which will then enable the student to work as a door supervisor.

How will I be assessed?

The student is assessed through multiple choice questions.
