Our course is to prepare students, DIY enthusiasts who would like to learn the practical skills of bricklaying. whether they are preparing for a career as a bricklayer or building their own garden wall, extention or a complete house. We will teach them how to mix mortar, use the trowel and all the tools involved in bricklaying. the course will include various bonds used such as stretcher bond, English bond, Flemish bond. Cavity walling incorporating blockwork and different types of insulation. You will learn how to spin and butter the brick. build a corner and use lines. This will build confidence to acheive a good basic skill in bricklaying.
The course is 5 day's Monday to Friday 9am-4.30pm.
Steel toe cap boots must be worn.
