This Artexing course is ideal for those with little or no previous experience wishing to start a new career in Artexing or tradesmen such as Painters, Decorators, Plasterers, Builders etc; who wish to add Artexing to their existing range of skills.
Subjects Covered:
The correct method of erecting a plasterboard ceiling.
The preparation of different backgrounds.
Taping, caulking and feathering of plasterboard joints.
Mixing of materials to the correct consistencies.
Sealers and their correct uses.
The application of Artex with brush and roller.
How to create the most popular Artex designs:
Stipple, Swirl, Broken Leather, Broken Swirl, Scroll, Medusa, Old Plaster, Knifed Plaster, Bark, Circle, Circle and Fan, Criss Cross, Basket, Basket and Flowers, Pairs, Hook and Line and of course our own exclusive designs.
You will also be taught how to create fancy ceiling centres and borders.
Other Subjects Covered:
Laced Finishes, invisible repairs, caulking out, re-artexing and problem solving, including how to tackle chimney breasts, light roses and awkward shaped rooms.
