Objectives:
· Site preparation, planning and setting out,
· Use of tools, the importance of plumb, line and level.
· Mixing cement, laying and cutting bricks and blocks.
· Creating a Damp Proof Course and using wall ties
· Insulation and pointing.
By the end of this five day course you will have built walls out of brick and block, a double skin garden wall and pillars. The course covers all basic bricklaying techniques and is designed to give you a sound knowledge of brickwork for use at home or site.
