Soft Tissue Release

Soft tissue release is an effective technique for releasing muscle tension and stretching shortened muscle and fascial tissue. This versatile and useful technique can be used as part of any standard massage, and because it can also be used over clothing, it is ideal for on-site, seated or sports massage as well.
For Qualified Massage Therapists
Aims:
* To help you practice STR on all the major muscles of the body
* To enable you to safely incorporate STR into a massage routine
* To revise the locations and functions of all major muscle groups
Objectives:
* Know how to safely apply STR to all major muscle groups
* Know how to incorporate STR into a lower limb massage routine
* Know how to incorporate STR into an upper limb massage routine
* Know how to use STR on posterior trunk muscles
By localizing a stretch to a particular area of muscle, Soft Tissue Release can help your clients immensly by encouraging specific tight muscle fibres to stretch.
