First Aid at Work (Full Certificate) HSE Accredited
Our 3 day First Aid at Work (FAW) course can be delivered at your workplace for groups of between 5 to 12 employees to bring your staff quickly up to date with the latest HSE regulatory changes, best practice and current techniques. By delivering the training conveniently on your own premises we can not only minimise disruption to daily routines, but also tailor the course to reflect your specific procedures and the type of incidents you experience.
All successful candidates recieve a full FAW certificate, registered with the HSE which can be used as evidence for NVQ Levels 2 & 3 in Health & Social Care.

Designed to help participants understand first aid, participants will be able to recognise and treat conditions they come across in the workplace with "hands on" practical experience. They can deal with incidents in a professional, confident manner.
Independently accredited by the HSE (75/00) since 1995.
The syllabus comprises of the following:
-- Accident scene management
-- Circulation, wounds, bleeding & shock
-- Respiration & asphyxia
-- CPR, choking (adults & children)
-- When / how to use the recovery position
-- Recognition & treatment of heart / stroke conditions
-- Management of the unconscious casualty
-- Fractures, sprains & dislocations
-- Burns, scolds & chemicals
-- Poisons & electrocution
-- Medical emergencies
-- Reporting / recording mechanism's
-- Crush & spinal injuries
There will be practical sessions throughout the course to reinforce theory and to prepare the delegates for the final independant assessments.
For groups between 5 to 12 delegates
Certificates currently lasts for 3 years but the HSE strongly recommends 1/2 day annual refresher training.
We can provide full FAW refresher training undertaken at your premises over 2 days.
