We hold a number of electrical courses at our training centre in Telford, Shropshire. These course's are all nationally recognised qualifications for a Domestic Electrical Installer. As from 1 January 2005 fixed electrical installations in dwellings shall be suitably designed, installed, inspected and tested so as to provide reasonable protection against their being a source of a fire or a cause of injury to persons. The requirement applies only to fixed electrical installations in dwellings in England and Wales intended to operate at low voltage or extra-low voltage. This course will give you the necessary qualifications required by the full scope electrical self-certification schemes operated by : BRE Certification Ltd British Standards Institution Elecsa Ltd Napit Certification Services Ltd NICEIC Certification Services Ltd After passing the exam and joining up with any one of the five governing bodies listed above you will be registered as part P, this will enable you to complete any and all work in domestic dwellings and be competent to legally sign off the work to the applicable building regulations.

Course Modules This course covers such topics as applicable building regulations, earthing and bonding requirements, cable and component selection, electrical test procedures, completion of certificates, special locations, installing cables and lighting installations. This course is ideal for beginners with little or no experience. The course is 70% theory and 30% practical with an exam to sit on the last day. If for any reason you fail the exam or practical elements a re-sit will be arranged for you free of charge.
