Note: Delegates who have attended our introduction course on designing and planning a small business website deduct £50.00 from the fees above and need not attend the first day of these sessions.
Experience of using the Internet is not required for this three-day course which provides all delegates with a comprehensive introduction to the Internet before concentrating on building web pages.
At the end of the course delegates will have built their own small business website which can be taken away and used. Delegates planning to use graphics (logos's and photographs) in their website should have these available in either .TIF .GIF or .JPG format.
The first day of the course, entitled Internet fundamentals, builds a strong foundation of Internet skills and knowledge. Concepts surrounding the Internet's infrastructure and technologies such as the web, browsers, e-mail and search engines are explored.
The remaining two days of the course concentrate on building web pages using the HTML language (HyperText Markup Language), the common language in which all web pages. HTML is not a complex programming language it is quick and simple for anyone to learn. The HTML learnt in this course will assist delegates if they progress to using WYSIWYG design tools, such as Microsoft FrontPage or Macromedia Dreamweaver
