Who should attend?

This course is required for anyone needing to provide warnings (using approved systems and equipment) to protect the safety of a group working ‘On or Near the Line’. The LookOut/Site Warden is deployed in accordance with the instructions from the Controller of Site Safety.

What will I be able to do on completion?

To train staff to act as LookOut/Site Warden when required by a COSS as part of a safe system of work.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment is an ongoing process throughout the course.

Attendance Requirements

Delegates must be at least 18 years of age and have sponsorship by a Link-up approved organisation with a NCCA Site I.D, valid Sentinel PTS Card, valid Network Rail approved medical certificate, negative alcohol and drugs screening certificate and must be considered suitable to fulfill this highly critical role.

Additional Information

Delegates successfully completing the course will be awarded a Sentinel Card with LookOut/Site Warden competence (valid for 2 years). The Sentinel Card is issued by the NCCA (an organisation that operates on behalf of Network Rail) and may take up to 10 days to arrive.
