What topics are covered by the course?

The course is aimed at both beginner improvisers and those who have some Jazz experience already. All chromatic instruments are welcome! Participants will gain experience in improvisation, learning music by ear, ensemble playing, on-the-spot arranging, Jazz harmony, performance skills and much more. Guest tutors will be invited as required. Groups of approx 10-15 musicians.

The course runs from 10-4 on each day ending with a performance.

Who should attend?

Applicants for this course should have a good working knowledge of their instrument/voice and any ensemble experience is also useful. The course is not suitable for pre-Grade 3 level musicians.
