A Distance Learning Course of 7 Lessons. Course Description: This programme is intended for people who wish to specialise professionally or have a particular interest in the problems connected to substance abuse. This would include all those employed in secondary education and beyond, as well as Outreach Workers, Parents, Care Workers and Police. The course aims to engage the learner in all facets of substance abuse among young people in our society, whilst highlighting the legal and social context in which to best understand the objective/task of reducing the incidence of the many associated problems. It is intended to raise awareness of the drugs made available to young people and to enhance the knowledge of how best to tackle and treat the problems they create.
