Visit the processing plant on a local poultry farm and gain practical experience in all aspects from live birds to oven ready. This will cover the legislation and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) requirements for on farm poultry processing operations.

What will I be able to do on completion?

Anyone who is interested in processing poultry or game birds for the table. The course is based on a chicken farm and chickens are used in the practical. No previous experience is needed.
