Who Should Attend?

This course is aimed at proprietors of small businesses, managers, supervisors, team leaders and anyone else who has a responsibility for the health and safety of others in the workplace. It is also appropriate for those who are considering progressing on to the Advanced Certificate.

By the end of the course delegates will be able to

* Demonstrate an understanding of the main concepts of health and safety;
* Show awareness of the benefits of health and safety culture;
* Explain the roles and responsibilities of individuals, supervisors and management in health and safety
* Demonstrate an understanding of health and safety control and improvement strategies available to supervisors

Additional Information

There is a 60 question multiple-choice test and candidates are required to achieve 40 correct answers in order to receive a Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Intermediate Certificate in Health and Safety in the Workplace. Candidates who achieve a score of 50 or more will be awarded a merit certificate.
