GICM Infant Massage Instructors Course
Being a Teacher in Infant Massage is a highly rewarding opportunity, to promote well being and enhancing bonding between infants and their carers. Infant Massage assists in the growth and development of baby's body, mind and spirit. In addition, it can help relieve colic, constipation, sleeping and respiratory problems.
This is a comprehensive four-day Course accredited by The Guild of Infant & Child Massage and The Guild of Holistic Therapists / The Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists. Participants are taught all aspects of massaging infants, how to instruct infant massage and how to conduct and plan the sessions. Following training you will be required to undertake a written assignment & Case studies.
This course will be beneficial for therapists, healthcare & childcare professionals as well as those looking for a rewarding and new career. Upon satisfactory completion of this Course, participants will be able to become full members of The Guild of Infant & Child Massage.
Duration: Four Days & Case Studies & assignments carried out in own time

Dates: Fri 29th February - Sun 2nd March 2008 followed by 4th follow-up day in May / June to suit.
Entry Requirements: Pre-requisite – Candidates must be current and qualified Healthcare or Childcare Professionals or have a qualification in Massage or equivalent including Anatomy & Physiology (entire body systems). It is vital that students understand the systems they are working with whilst massaging, hence the requirement for a thorough knowledge of A & P.
