This Diploma covers the concepts of the history and theory of crystal therapy, colour, auras and chakras and includes interpersonal skills and consultation. It also includes counselling techniques and the relationship of crystal therapy to auras and chakras. It covers the use of crystals in relation to other therapies to give a thorough grounding in the subject. The aim of this course is to train students to a professionally competent level enabling them to provide holistic crystal therapy which meets client needs, develop understanding of the relationship of colour therapy to the aura and chakras and to demonstrate a full and accurate understanding of the application of interpersonal skills and their integration with physical therapies. This course contains the following VTCT units:
Use interpersonal skills with therapy clients
Assess the client and apply holistic colour therapy
Support Health, Safety and Security in the Workplace
Support Employment Standards
Please Note: This Course includes essential VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Health, Safety, Security and Employment Standards D1120 (VR02/VR74) which will require you to complete a written project in your own time and attend the Centre for a multiple choice exam. Please note that if you already hold this qualification and it is valid (within last 3 years) you do not have to repeat but will be required to produce evidence.
Assessment: This qualification requires the candidate to provide evidence of competence in the form of case studies or individual treatments to cover range statements, and demonstrate sufficient knowledge to be able to explain crystal therapy and provide it safely, effectively and consistently. Independent study is an essential part of this course and you will be required to complete both practical and theoretical assignments at home.
You will be required to attend a half day (mutually agreed date) to submit your portfolio, take a short multiple choice exam on health and safety and observed assessment of a colour therapy treatment.
