The aim of the course is to equip PCV and LGV drivers with a working knowledge of Digital Tachographs and the Legislation relating to Drivers Hours and the Working Time Regulations.

By the end of the course, learners should be able to:
Comply with the EU Regulation re: Digital Tachographs and Driver Hours
Operate the Digital Tachograph System effectively – eg. Log on, log off, manual entries, print outs
Understand the regulations regarding the drivers hours regulations (561/2006) including driving time, break times, rules for multi manning as well as daily and weekly rests.
Understand the potential consequences of breaching legislation regarding tachographs and drivers hours
