The course content consists of a short theory session covering key areas such as, legislation and risk assessment and the practical side which covers use of the chair. There is plenty of time for the delegates to practise and gain confidence in its and their ability. The course is run using your own equipment, however ehsystems does have chairs that can be used if required.
After completing the course the delegate will;
Have a basic understanding of fire regulations affecting mobility impaired people
Understand better issues affecting those with a mobility impairment
Manual handling of the chair
Have confidence in the chair and their own ability to operate it.
The maximum number of delegates per session is 4, the course is conducted in house and lasts for around 1 hour
All successful delegates will receive a certificate of attendance.
Evacuation Chair Key Trainers
This entails training the delegate to deliver the training as listed above. It is more intensive and uses videos, a training pack and more practical use of the chair.
Upon completion the delegates will be able to carry out their own training sessions and safely instruct others.
The maximum number of delegates per session is 4. The course is conducted in house and lasts for around 2.5 hours.
All successful delegates will receive a certificate of attendance.
