The Manual Payroll (Level 3) programme is geared towards delegates who have completed Level 2.
Manual payroll (Level 3) provides the knowledge and understanding required to run an efficient payroll system. The main areas covered in the syllabus are:
Calculating statutory deductions (Income Tax and National
Insurance)
Preparing payslips, paying employees and making payments to
IR
Processing employees starting and leaving employment
Calculating Statutory Sick Pay and Statutory Maternity Pay
Calculating other pay (benefits in kind)
Making other deductions from employees’ pay (Student Loan
Deductions, DEO, AEO, GAYE, etc).
Knowledge of the various Pension Schemes
Directors’ National Insurance
Completing Year-end reports and returns to IR and employees.
Duration: 4 Months
