The Level 3 qualification is primarily designed for candidates who already have some book-keeping experience, and also those who have Level 2 Certificate in Book-keeping and/or Level 2 Certificate in Computerised Book-keeping.
Upon the completion of study, it is intended that the candidate will be able to:
Understand the Trading, Profit and Loss Account and Balance
Sheet
Understand and Apply Accounting Concepts and Accounting
Policies
Categorise Income and Expenditure
Make Accounting Adjustments relating to Stock, Depreciation,
Prepayments Accruals, Provisions for Bad & Doubtful Debts
Manage Credit Control
Prepare basic Financial Statements for a Sole Trader
Prepare an Extended Trial Balance
Prepare complex Financial Statements for a Sole Trader
Apply knowledge relating to Partnerships
Prepare Financial Statements for ‘Not for Profit’ Organisations.
Duration: 4 Months
Award: IAB Level 3 Certificate in Manual Book-keeping
Exams: January, June & On-Demand
