What topics are covered by the course?

The full day course explores the causes and triggers of inappropriate behaviour. The programme then outlines a consistent framework to address negative behaviour and to promote and teach positive behaviours which support and enhance learning.

During the programme and then self assessment using toolkit

Course Objectives:

To explore strategies to manage the physical, social and emotional elements of the classroom

To explore a consistent approach to promoting positive behaviour (rules, routines, consequences)

To understand how positive behaviour can be taught and implement strategies for teaching behaviour

To explore and rehearse strategies to help build positive relationships

The Trainer:

Jayne Lowe is Director and Principal Consultant of Bright Green Learning, an experienced strategic leader and practitioner. Jayne has worked as Secondary, Special & PRU Teacher, Local Authority Lead Teacher, Behaviour and Attendance Consultant, Head of Positive Behaviour managing behaviour support across the local authority, PRU Headteacher and Strategic Manager Participation leading on Education Welfare Services, Behaviour Support, Alternative Provision, PRU’s and Anti Bullying.
