5 Day Plastering Course Content.
Monday Morning: Following the demonstrations you will be cutting and fixing plasterboard to your bay ceiling. Following that you will apply a scratch coat to a block wall using sand & cement.Introduction to tools and materials.
Monday Afternoon: Scratch coat your block work wall and piers using a sand & cement backing plaster. Time permitting you will cut and fix your angle beads to your piers.
Tuesday Morning: Floating one block wall in sand & cement using the screed method.
Tuesday Afternoon: Floating block wall using hardwall plaster.
Wednesday Morning: Using Hard wall backing plaster you will float your piers upto the angle beads.
Wednesday Afternoon: Using finishing plaster you will two coat set one of your sand & cement walls to a smooth finish ready for decorating.
Thursday Morning: Using finishing plaster you will two coat set your other sand & cement wall to a smooth finish ready for decorating.
Thursday Afternoon: Using finishing plaster you will two coat set your piers to a smooth finish ready for decorating.
Friday Morning: You will tape up ceiling joints with self adhesive fibre tape, and two coat set your ceiling to a smooth finish ready for decorating.
