Each member of a Close Protection team has a specific role and although as a team member you may find yourself fitting in to many differing roles it is vital you have the relevant training to allow the team to work to its full potential.

A Close Protection driver should be highly skilled and knowledgeable on all aspects of driving and awareness, after all you could have the best CP team but if your principal dies in a car accident on his travels then the team has failed in its duties. For this reason you must have skills and knowledge covering everything from driver awareness and risk management skills through to evasive and anti-terrorist driving techniques.

The driving skills cover all areas including driving in hostile environments and driving in the Uk where many of the driving techniques need to be adapted in order to remain within the law and avoid attracting unwanted police attention.
