Further Details
A highly practical one-day workshop in how to foster profound improvements in our personal and professional lives - psychologically, socially, and physically.
Positive Psychology and The Science of Well-being are newly emerging fields that are learning lessons from lives that thrive and flourish particularly well. They endeavour to identify the principles and strategies, skills and experiences, that are most likely to lead to all-round improvement in our psychological, physical and social lives – both at home and at work. Such insights are intended to promote far healthier relationships, reduced illness, higher morale, and bring a profound sense of direction and progress. The workshop aims to convey the most promising approaches to well-being based upon the most compelling scientific evidence from around the world. In addition, we will briefly introduce interesting new developments yet to be investigated by rigorous science, but which may eventually prove to be the vanguard of future innovations.
The workshop is designed and led by Dr Nick Baylis;
Nick's one hundred weekly Times columns as 'Dr FeelGood on The Science of Happiness’ well-reflected his ability to make the best new science understandable and enjoyable for newcomers to the field, as do his frequent media appearances on national radio and television. Nick is a corporate and educational consultant working internationally, while also maintaining a part-time practice as a psychotherapist and coach for adults from all walks of life. His popular book, Learning from Wonderful Lives, has been widely praised as a highly readable and helpful guide for adults of all ages.
