CIEH Advanced Health and Safety in the Workplace This course is accredited by Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and covers health and safety management including: the setting up or monitoring and auditing programmes providing health and safety training complying with the relevant laws Course Content This is a five day intensive health and safety course, although delivered in a classroom environment delegates will be involved in much practical work. The course covers the following subjects: general safety and health workplace safety safe systems occupational health occupational hygiene safety management legislation education and training risk assessment What are the minimum requirements? You must have a Foundation or Level 2 Certificate in Health and Safety before you come on this course. You are required to attend for at least 80 per cent of the course. Is there an assessment at the end of the course? Yes, at the end of the course there are two assignments which are workplace based and approximately 30 days after the course there is a three hour written exam. You will be told the specific dates once you have registered for the course Who should attend? This is a level 3 course and is only recommended for managers and supervisors who have the Foundation level or the new level two in Health and Safety or equivalent. Is there a recommended reading list? We recommend that you read the Essentials of Health and Safety at Work published by the Health and Safety Executive. Is the course accredited? Yes the course is accredited through the Charter Institute of Environmental Health. Kawns is a recognised training provider for this course and will only use registered CIEH tutors. This course is certificated and this will last for three years. Where can I attend a course?
