Course Aim:- This course is designed to provide candidates with an understanding of the requirements of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998, machinery safety requirements and associated safe systems of work. The first part of the course will be classroom based, while the second part of the course will be based in the client’s workshops where candidates will demonstrate the necessary competence to set up, use, inspect and maintain the machinery.

Who Should Attend:- The course is particularly suitable for candidates who are experienced users of woodworking and engineering workshop machinery, but require formal training in order to demonstrate that they have the necessary competence (experience, knowledge and training) for compliance with health & safety regulations. By the end of the course, candidates will have received the necessary health and safety knowledge and training to supplement their practical experience in the safe use and maintenance of workshop machinery. A certificate of competence is provided for all candidates who complete the course.
