Content of Course:- Legislative requirements; Hazards from use of abrasive wheels; General Precautions; Methods of marking abrasive wheels; Storage, handling, transportation and inspecting abrasive wheels Mounting the wheel; Using and inspecting the angle grinder. The different types of discs, including carborundum and diamond tipped varieties, will be covered in the course. A practical session can be included as required. Other types of grinder can be covered during the session provided we are notified in advance By the end of the course, candidates will be able to use grinders and abrasive wheels and understand the associated hazards. A certificate of competence is provided for all candidates that attend the course.
